10 Books on Health That Shaped My Body & Mind

- WAY TOWARDS HEALTH by Seth via Jane Roberts– This is the awesomest book ever written on health. Yes, the awesomest!
Seth was a being channelled by Jane Roberts in the sixties and seventies. The book covers A to Z on how to live a healthy life. The way my body is today is a direct result from living this book. Let me share a few lines with you:
“People will to live, will to act or not to act. Will the events of their life, will to die.”
“Reacquaint with the inner springs of vitality and well being that are so important in human experience.”
“You must have sunny thoughts as well as rays of the physical sun to be healthy.”
“There is no such thing as disease. Only processes. Your own feelings, thoughts and beliefs lead you to seek illness. You and your illness are one thing.”
“The way towards health is simplicity itself.”
“Nature is everywhere filled with promise; not mere survival but promise of Beauty and Fullfillment.”
“There are innumerable stages of health, from high to low. Death prunes the planet. Death is health.”
“Remember your universal affliation. Relax, let go, feel safe. Know that you’re a beloved child of the universe, both ancient and young at once, with an identity far beyond the annals of time.”
“The material is excellent medicine itself and can be life saving.”
The crazy and sad thing is Jane Roberts channelled this vital wisdom on how to live a healthy life while she laid dying in the hospital. Seth spoke through her all the way until 5 days before she died. After Jane died Seth was no more as well. Seth never spoke again through another medium. What a loss! What a strange world indeed!
- MATTER IN THE MAKING by George De La Warr with Langston Day– George De La Warr is the English medical doctor/scientist whose pioneering work in the fifties advanced then brand new medicial science, Radionics.
Radionics is based on the fact that everything in the universe is made of energy. Energy vibrates. For example, a single cell in your heart vibrates and makes a sound; all the cells in your heart vibrate together to make a song; your heart is thus a symphony. The heart’s symphony then harmonizes with your lung’s symphony. The entire body thus forms another symphony. Your symphony harmonizes with another person… etc, etc.
Thus the entire universe is knitted together in a big symphony. Everything in the universe is inter connected by a song, a harmonious force field. Health is harmony and illness is disharmony. By recording the harmonious vibration and listening to the disharmony, a Radionics therapist can find where the illness is. And by correcting the tone, illness can disappear.
Another amazing feature of Radionics is it can detect illness in the thought process. When illness is in a patient’s etheric field – before the illness materializes into the physical body – it can actually be detected already! Hence the title of George’s book, Matter in the Making. To fully understand how Radionics works is to see science and spirit come full circle and meet on the same path.
You see, scientists and sages are saying the same thing. This medical book is much like any good spiritual text. Check out these lines:
“The Iron Maiden of Materialism. If we mechanise the world we mechanise our minds.”
“Existence is governed by love and harmony and everything is so closely connected that it is impossible to help or harm any creature without helping or harming oursleves.”
George de la Warr ran a very successful labortory in Oxford in the fifties. The lab discovered ways to preserve milk and enhance plant growth using vibrations, had success controlling cancer cells, and they were running a very vibrant operation until the law shut them down. In America, the pioneer Radionics inventor, Dr. Ruth Drown, was also set up, disgraced, put in jail and died shortly after she was released. The witch hunt also included shutting down Wilhem Reich and Nicola Tesla. Radionics was forced underground. Even today, practitioners work quietly, out of the public eye. It is time to let the truth be told and revitalize Radionics!
- MIRACLES OF MIND by Russell Targ and Jane Katra– A strange and wonderful book featuring two completely different stories. On the surface the book is about remote viewing – seeing a place or object from a remote location.
Russell is the father of remote viewing, having started Stanford Research Institude (SRI) in the seventies with Hal Puthoff to research the phenomenon, with funding from the CIA. Russell shares amazing stories of successful remote viewing experiments in this book. There is no doubt that something magical is happening. His stories prompted me to start doing remote viewing myself. Now I run parties and experiment with all sorts of people. Miracles everytime I swear!
Remote viewing is miraculous enough but another miracle happened to Russell. He got cancer, freaked out and called a healer named Jane Katra, whom he had only met once. The miracle healing of his cancer – in one strange and wonderful night, in which all sorts of crazy things happened, leading to the disappearance of his cancer – is the other part of this book. This book is knock out good read.
After reading the book I met both of the authors and first touched the craziness of miracles. Yes, miracles are crazy; they operate in a totally different plane from what we know as “reality.”
- BIOLOGY OF BELIEF by Bruce Lipton– A straight-laced, facts-only scientific proof of how cells react to our thinking.
Positive thoughts makes cells grow healthy, negative thoughts kill cells. It’s that simple! After reading this book I was left with actual scientific proof of the Law of Attraction in action. My belief system creates my body, therefore my reality.
What I believe is what my reality becomes. Blessed are those who belief without seeing. But if you are not one of the blessed, here’s the proof. Haha. Vigorious scholarly scientific research are great.
5. LIFE AFTER LIFE by Raymond Moody
After my father died in 1990 I did a lot of research in the subject of death. I read The Tibetan Book of the Dead (way too much detail!) and many Elizabeth Kubler-Ross (way too dry; she needs marketing – one of her book title is “Life After Death” which didn’t sell nearly as much as “Life After Life”!) It is this slim volume by a medical doctor that gives me most hope. Again, this book is solid scholarly work, which I love. Rock solid proof on the process of dying. Dr. Moody interviewed two thousand people who had near death experience (NDE.) These people offically died – heart , lung and brain stopped – and then came back to life. He found about fifteen things that happen to most of these people when they were gone. A few things happen to almost all of them – looking at one’s own body from aother point-of-view, departed love ones come to aid the transition, traveling through a tunnel or a meddow, and finally coing to be with the white light. The white light is all love and acceptance, one feels good in it’s presence. The white light asks a few questions: Did you have fun? Did you learn anything new? and Did you love? The NDE peope answer the questions and all come to love death but almost all of them didn’t or can’t die at that moment because of urgent unfinished business, spo they return to life. These three questions gave me peace about my own death for many years. Moody’s book started me on the journey of not fearing death and facing it head on. I have since done did lots more research and come to more realization. (Read my article “Death Becomes Me” to get the full load down.) Afterall, when I learn that there is actually a process, like a journey, I know it can’t be that bad. I love life so I love death, two sides of the same coin.
6. HANDS OF LIGHT by Barbara Brennan
A guide to healing through the human energy field. A field manual, a map, an operation manual. Takes the mystry out of “spiritual healing” and makes it plain. No nonsense approach. Refreshing! Enlightening! Dr. Brennan shows me things that I have considered foo-foo in a complete practical way. Here’s the color of the human aura. Here’s the color of the charkas and here’s how they look. Here’s how you protect youself when you do hands-on healing. On and on, practical advice, one after another. I am a doer so I started to do healing work myself. And lo! It works! So exciting to see pain goes away or illness disappear after a healing. Miracles miralces! What a blessing this book is.
7. GIFTS FOR THE SOUL by Dawn Clark
The person who gave me this book appeared in front of me only once, handed me the book and promptly disappeared into the ether again. I am very respectful of things messsages books or gifts that seek me out and come to me. I always take it seriously that it is something I need. So I read the book with care. Lo! I learned Soul Retreaval. I practice on Otie with much success. I do it for msyelf all the time and I work on my friends. I have helped lots of people by now. The book has many sections about the author’s own crazy encounters, which I read with caution. Okay, her crazy stories are not my crazy stories, I don’t take that much of it on. She also goes into drawings and such, again, I don’t take very seriously. What really shines for me is her technique of going deep into one’s own physic, face the lost bits of soul – lost duromg childhood or past life trama – and reclaim the soul bits. I have read other soul retravel books and those books uses healers. A shaman or healer will go into your soul to do it for you. You just sit there and let others do the work. You go home trusting your soul is saved. Well, that doesn’t work good for me. I am a hands on doer. Why let some dude live my life for me? I am the healer for me. No one can do it for me. I don’t give my joy nor my pain away. This is why I come to this life. If I can’t heal myself I keep this illness. Healers and doctors are helpers. I am the star of my own show. I don’t give my power away.
Therefore Dawn Clark’s book is just the right kind of book that I like. I learned how to do it. I do it. Successful at it. And that is when I realize what a wonderful world wonderful life this is.8. VIBRATIONAL MEDICINE by Richard Gerber
I didn’t read the whole book, I glanced through the Table of Contents. The book covers A to Z everything you can think of on energy medicine: holograms… herbal… homeopathy… Chinese chi-gon … charkas … crystals … flower essences… smell sight sound healing … whatnot … every espect is included here, explained in details. The history, the reason, the research, the how, the what, the where, everything everything! The book sits on my bookcase and makes me feel complete. Once, I visited an energy healing school and this book is their number text book. It’s good, it’s complete, simple.
9. AGELESS BODY TIMELESS MIND by Deepak Chopra
I read many Deepak books in the begining of my research on health. He is a careful, thoughtful and patient teacher. This book teaches me death is neccessary but deteriation in heath is not. Because our soul our spirit our mind is made of energy and energy is indestrible, it only changes form. So we can accieve ageless body timeless mind. How beautiful this thought is! I sent this book to my mother and we had good times reading to each other. Easy to read easy to digest easy to understand easy to accept easy to like. Very useful.
10. TAKE OFF YOUR GLASSES AND SEE by Jacob Liberman
The book teaches natural eye healing and somehow reads like a spiritual text. One can’t seperate one’s eyes from one’s soul. I am near-sighted since, oh well, three months old. Ever since my parents put corrctive lenses on me, I never even consider not wearing them for a day. 24/7 as long as my eyes are opened I wore glasses or contact lenses. One day Otie heard a voice in his head that told him to take off his glasses. I thought it was the most obsert thing I ever heard. When I researched into the matter I found Dr. Liberman’s book. I took off my glasses and feel like I released myself from a life-long prison. I am free! Now, I don’t wear corrective lenses at all. Life has become magical. I accept myself. The way I see is the way I see. I am not wrong, I don’t see badly. I don’t see like you think I should see, doesn’t mean I need to correct myself. I rely on my intuition more. I hear people better. Every step is an adventure. I didn’t know I can allow myself to do things my way; not how other people wants me to do things; but my own way. I am not crazy nor strange, I am just the way I am. Taking off my glasses and become my own boss. This book is deep.
HONARABLE MENTIONS: these books formed the bases of my understanding and are so vital to my search for health. I can’t leave them out.
